ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A mechanism for securing a track to an upright mast of a sailboat is provided. The mast has a rearwardly facing upwardly extending groove, having a restricted opening, for normally supporting the luff of a sail. The track covers the groove and a plurality of lugs received in the groove therealong extend through the restricted opening and are attached to the track, as by threaded screws. Full batten sails can be used with the mast, each batten being connected to a car which travels on the track.
