The invention relates to a master device which can be used in a method for producing a recording medium, a substantially spirally or concentrically running main track structure and at least one substantially spirally or concentrically running secondary track structure being formed on the master device, the secondary track structure being arranged on at least one side of the main track structure, the secondary track structure having discontinuities varying an optically detectable surface texture of the recording medium in such a way that at least first auxiliary information is represented on the recording medium.

L'invention concerne un système maître pouvant être utilisé dans un procédé de production d'un support d'enregistrement. Ce système maître présente une structure de piste principale s'étendant sensiblement en forme de spirale ou concentriquement et au moins une structure de piste secondaire s'étendant sensiblement en forme de spirale ou concentriquement, cette structure de piste secondaire étant disposée au moins sur un côté de la structure de piste principale. Selon l'invention, la structure de piste secondaire présente des interruptions qui font varier une propriété de surface du support d'enregistrement pouvant être détectée optiquement, de telle sorte qu'au moins une première information auxiliaire soit reproduite sur le support d'enregistrement.
