ABSTRACT MATCH MANUFACTURING PROCESS According to the invention the on-machine time of matches manufactured by dipping is substantially reduced by applying to the match-head while still soft and moist, i.e. before substantial drying has taken place, of a solventless, rapid cure resin e.g. a U.V. resin, and curing the resin coating. The matches can then be removed and packaged whilst still in a moist condition.
