The material has the formula: Nd1-uRu(CO1-xMx)z wherein R is one or more rare earth elements, M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of B, A?, Si, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zr, Nb, Ta, Mo, W, Hf, Pd, Sn and Pb, 0?u?0.5, 0<x<0.4 and 4.4?z?5.5.
