The invention relates to a method and device for shaping material of work pieces using a laser beam which is injected into a stream of liquid. The liquid which is to be formed into a stream by a nozzle channel is fed to the nozzle channel opening such that the flow does not swirl, especially without flow components which are tangential to the nozzle channel axis. The laser irradiation is focussed on the channel entry plane and the liquid is fed to the channel opening in such a way that a liquid retention space is avoided in the beam focussing ball and in the immediate surroundings thereof.
L'invention concerne un procédé ainsi qu'un dispositif pour l'usinage de pièces (45) avec un faisceau laser injecté dans un jet de liquide (25). Le liquide à former en un jet (25) à l'aide d'un canal de buse (29) est acheminé à l'orifice (28) du canal de buse sans turbulence, notamment sans composante d'écoulement tangentielle par rapport à l'axe (32) du canal de buse. Le faisceau laser est focalisé sur le plan d'entrée (30) du canal et le liquide est guidé jusqu'à l'orifice (28) du canal de manière à éviter un espace de retenue de liquide dans le cône de focalisation de faisceau (38) et son environnement immédiat.
