Proteins consisting of, from amino to carboxyl terminus, a first PDGF-D growth factor domain polypeptide, a linker polypeptide, and a second PDGF-D growth factor domain polypeptide, and materials and methods for making the proteins are disclosed. Each of the first and second PDGF-D growth factor domain polypeptides consists of a sequence of amino acid residues as shown in SEQ ID NO:2 or SEQ ID NO:4 from amino acid x to amino acid y, wherein x is an integer from 246 to 258, inclusive, and y is an integer from 365-370, inclusive. The linker polypeptide consists of from 11-40 amino acid residues. The proteins can be used to stimulate the production of bone and/or connective tissue in both humans and non-human animals.

Cette invention concerne des protéines comprenant, depuis le groupe terminal amino jusqu'au groupe terminal carboxylique, un premier polypeptide à domaine de facteur de croissance PDGF-D, un polypeptide lieur et un second polypeptide à domaine de facteur de croissance PDGF-D, ainsi que des matériaux et des méthodes permettant d'obtenir lesdites protéines. Chacun des premier et second polypeptides à domaine de facteur de croissance PDGF-D consiste en une séquence de résidus d'aminoacides comme représenté dans SEQ ID NO:2 ou SEQ ID NO:4 allant de l'aminoacide x à l'aminoacide y, x étant un entier compris entre 246 et 258 inclus, et y un entier compris entre 365 et 370 inclus. Le polypeptide lieur se compose de 11 à 40 résidus d'aminoacides. Ces protéines peuvent s'utiliser pour stimuler la production de tissu osseux et/ou conjonctif tant chez l'homme que chez des animaux non humains.
