The present invention relates to the use of enamel matrix, enamel matrix derivatives and/or enamel matrix proteins as therapeutic and/or cosmetic agents. Said substances are used for the manufacture of a pharmaceutical and/or cosmetic composition for actively inducing guiding and/or stimulating connective tissue growth and thus to prevent connective tissue scaring and/or contraction in a wound cavity and/or tissue defect that is characterised by a substantial loss of tissue. Comprised in the invention is in particular the use of active enamel substances for guided connective soft tissue growth and resistance to contraction in deep cavity shaped wounds following loss or removal of significant volumes of tissue, as may be the case after surgical removal of a tumour and also when used in combination with radiation therapy.
L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'une matrice, de dérivés matriciels et/ou de protéines matricielles d'émail comme agents thérapeutiques, prophylactiques et/ou cosmétiques. On utilise ces substances pour préparer une composition pharmaceutique et/ou cosmétique destinée à induire, guider et/ou stimuler activement la croissance du tissu conjonctif, et donc d'empêcher la cicatrisation et/ou la contraction du tissu conjonctif dans une cavité de blessure et/ou une anomalie tissulaire caractérisée par une perte substantielle de tissu. L'invention concerne en particulier l'utilisation de substances d'émail destinées à guider la croissance du tissu conjonctif mou et à empêcher la contraction d'une blessure en forme de cavité profonde qui suit la perte ou l'ablation de volumes tissulaires significatifs, par exemple, après l'ablation chirurgicale d'une tumeur en particulier associée à une radiothérapie.
