By means of a gemstones' processing system adapted to produce a faceted gemstone from a rough or half-processed gemstone (raw material) wherein said processing system comprising a processing tool adapted to provide said faceted gemstone with a plane facet of predetermined three-dimensional (3D) coordinates (coordinated facet), and a holder adapted to both immobilize said raw material and further to introduce it to said processing tool in 3D coordinated manner such a facet is provided; a method comprising calculating a 3D coordinates of at least one reference indicium (origin) (35) located within or on the surface of said faceted gemstone; providing a 3D coordinated model of the faceted gemstone (coordinated model) wherein 3D coordinates of the facets are determined in respect to said origin (35); and, processing said facets in a sequence of processing steps in the manner that each processing step is terminate wherein the 3D coordinates of the facet processed by said processing tool is identical to the 3D coordinates of the corresponding facet provided in the coordinated model.

L'invention concerne un système de transformation de pierres précieuses conçu pour produire une pierre précieuse à facettes à partir d'une pierre précieuse brute ou semi-transformée (matière brute). Ce système de transformation comprend un outil de transformation conçu pour conférer à la pierre précieuse à facettes une facette plane à coordonnées tridimensionnelles (3D) prédéterminées (facette coordonnée), et un support conçu à la fois pour immobiliser la matière brute et pour l'introduire dans l'outil de transformation de la manière coordonnée en 3D dont la facette est présentée. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste: à calculer des coordonnées 3D pour au moins une marque de référence (origine) (35) se trouvant dans la pierre précieuse à facettes ou sur la surface de celle-ci; à obtenir un modèle coordonné en 3D de la pierre précieuse à facettes (modèle coordonné), les coordonnées 3D des facettes étant déterminées en fonction de l'origine (35); et à traiter les facettes selon une séquence d'étapes de transformation, de sorte que chaque étape se termine lorsque les coordonnées 3D de la facette traitée par l'outil de transformation sont identiques aux coordonnées 3D de la facette correspondante présentée dans le modèle coordonné.
