The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing an acute cardiovascular event comprising the steps of determining the amount of a cardiac Troponin in a sample of a subject, determining the amount of a natriuretic peptide in a sample of said subject and diagnosing an acute cardiovascular event by comparing the amounts determined in the previous steps with reference amounts. Moreover, the present invention encompasses a method for differentiating between an acute cardiovascular event and chronic heart failure comprising the steps of determining the amount of a cardiac Troponin in a sample of a subject, determining the amount of a natriuretic peptide in a sample of said subject and differentiating between an acute cardiovascular event and chronic heart failure by comparing the amounts determined in the previous steps with reference amounts. Also comprised by the present invention are devices and kits for carrying out such methods.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de diagnostic d'un évènement cardiovasculaire aigu comprenant les étapes de détermination de la quantité d'un troponine cardiaque dans un échantillon d'un sujet, détermination de la quantité d'un peptide natriurétique dans un échantillon dudit sujet et diagnostic d'un événement cardiovasculaire aigu en comparant les quantités déterminées dans les étapes précédentes avec des quantités de référence. De plus, la présente invention comprend un procédé de différentiation entre un événement cardiovasculaire aigu et un défaut chronique du coeur comprenant les étapes de détermination de la quantité d'un troponine cardiaque dans un échantillon d'un sujet, détermination de la quantité d'un peptide natriurétique dans un échantillon dudit sujet et différentiation entre un événement cardiovasculaire aigu et un défaut chronique du coeur en comparant les quantités déterminées dans les étapes précédentes avec des quantités de référence. La présente invention comprend encore des dispositifs et des kits pour mettre en AEuvre de tels procédés.
