The basis of this invention is the removal of the drag tooth component of the traditional toe-pick from figure skate eliminating it as an obstruction to sharpening the full length of the skating surface. From the very first sharpening the ideal rocker profile of a new blade is unavoidable degraded particularly the important frontal portion known as the NSZ. Performance suffers and the blade has to be abandoned long before its metallurgical life potential and at considerable expense. The invention provides attachable detachable toe-pick elements that precisely dock into the front of the skate or blade with a combined fastening and locking method that dismantles or re-install the toe-pick element in seconds. After a measured amount of blade attrition from sharpening a slightly smaller toe-pick element replaces the original and restores the NSZ to as new performance. Toe-pick elements are a life time investment transferring from blade to blade.
