ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is provided means for accelerating the speed on a ski-jumper on a hill, when the hill itself is not such as to promote proper speed. The means includes a motor which, through an appropriate transmission mechanism, drives an endless towing rop which carries gripping members to which the jumper may cling.
