The invention concerns a method for detecting, in a sample to be analysed, pathological modifications of the APP protein, characterised in that it consists in using markers consisting of catabolic and/or metabolic fragments of the carboxyl-terminal part of the APP, APP-Cter fragments, specifically modified in neurodegenerative situations wherein the APP participates in the etiology. The invention has diagnostic and therapeutic applications in degenerative pathologies such as Alzheimer disease.
L'invention se rapporte à une méthode pour détecter, dans un échantillon à analyser, des modifications pathologiques de la protéine APP, caractérisée en ce qu'on utilise des marqueurs constitués par des fragments cataboliques et/ou métaboliques de la partie carboxy-terminale de l'APP, fragments APP-Cter, spécifiquement modifiés dans les situtations neurodégénératives où l'APP participe à l'étiologie.Application diagnostiques et thérapeutiques de pathologies dégénératives de type Alzheimer.
