ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A landmark device for use in the marking of surveying or the like, of the type having an anchoring element which is provided with a horizontal disc forming a first visual marking element including digital markings. Four vertical, radially extending partitions or flaps disposed at 90° relative to one another protrude above the disc surface. The flaps contain digits or the like for selective marking of further particulars such as the distance to the next land- mark. Thus, the surface of the disc can be used e.g. for identification of the landmark while the flaps produce further means for marking surveying particulars. The device combines the advantage of low weight and easy handling with an improved visibility and a better capability for marking relevant surveying data.
