Apparatus is provided which allows the simultaneous reception, processing and availability of digital data which is transmitted in both linear and circular polarity formats, thereby allowing data over a greater frequency bandwidth to be available for selection and for selection and processing of data of different polarity formats to be achieved simultaneously. This therefore means that there is now the practical possibility to allow the continued broadcast of data in a circular polarity format over existing bandwidths and the additional broadcast of data in a linear polarity format in the same geographical region and over a larger frequency bandwidth thereby enlarging the amount of data which can be transmitted, and received and the user selections which are available and ensuring that the linear and circular polarity format data can be received and processed and be available in response to a user selection simultaneously.
L'invention porte sur un appareil permettant la réception, le traitement et la disponibilité simultanés de données numériques transmises sous des formats de polarité à la fois linéaire et circulaire, ce qui permet de rendre les données disponibles sur une plus grande largeur de bande de fréquence pour leur sélection, et d'effectuer simultanément la sélection et le traitement des données de différents formats de polarité. Ceci signifie qu'il existe maintenant une possibilité pratique de permettre la diffusion continue de données dans un format de polarité circulaire sur des largeurs de bandes existantes, ainsi que la diffusion additionnelle de données dans un format de polarité linéaire dans la même région géographique et sur une plus grande largeur de bande de fréquence, ce qui augmente la quantité de données à transmettre et à recevoir, et l'utilisateur sélectionne celles qui son disponibles, ce qui garantit une réception, un traitement et une disponibilité des données de format de polarité linéaire et circulaire en réponse simultanément à une sélection utilisateur.
