ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a fastening device for holding climbing plants on an external wall which device com- prises a tape of sufficient width to hold down strong branches, said tape having a plurality of trapezoidal teeth shaped bulges extending along both sides of said tape and also above the level of one surface of the tape, said teeth having flanks extending at right angles to the longitudinal axis and sides of the tape which flanks are all directed to an end of the tape which has bulges extending on both sides thereof and above said level of said surface of said tape and a central opening dimensioned to allow the other end of the tape to pass therethrough when turned through an angle of up to 90°.
