MEANS PROVIDING INTERMITTENT MOTION TO A CAM MEANS OF A TIMING MECHANISM ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A timing mechanism wherein a cam is rotated by a motor drive means and wherein electrical switch means open and close in response to the cam. An intermittent drive couples the motor drive to the cam. A rotatable member is driven by the motor drive and has a pair of drive portions eccentric to the rota- tional axis of the rotatable member. A pair of drive pawls, one each carried by one of the eccentrics, both of the drive pawls engaging the cam to alternately drive the cam in a step-by-step manner. Both of the pawls also alternately preclude reverse directional rotation of the cam.
