An automated hybrid mail system/method (10) is provided which sends a graphic image file (17a) from the sender's terminal (14) directly into a postal network (26) via a remote printing facility (24). The system checks that the recipient's address is correctly located on the graphic image file (17a) before sending and (optionally) verifying the recipient's address and adding a correct Delivery Point ID and bar code. The client-side operations require no filling in of pre-defined fields or templates; any computer application that produces a printable application document (13) can be used. Preferably, a single-click or simple operation by the sender (11) can automatically send the application document (13) to be printed as a hardcopy document (25) and mailed to a recipient (12). The server-side (21) operations are automated. The system tracks the graphic image file (17a) throughout the process using a unique identification number (17b) allocated when the graphic image file (17a) is created on the sender's terminal (14).
L'invention concerne un système/procédé d'envoi de courrier (10) hybride, automatisé, permettant l'envoi d'un fichier d'image graphique (17a) dans un réseau postal (26) à partir du terminal (14) d'un expéditeur, par l'intermédiaire d'une installation d'impression à distance (24). Le système est conçu pour vérifier que l'adresse du destinataire est correctement placée sur le fichier d'image graphique (17a) avant l'envoi du fichier et pour (éventuellement) vérifier l'adresse du destinataire et ajouter une adresse de livraison correcte et un code-barres. Du côté client, aucun champ prédéfini ou modèle ne doit être rempli, toute application informatique produisant un document d'application imprimable (13) pouvant être utilisée. De préférence, l'expéditeur (11) peut envoyer automatiquement le document (13) d'un simple clic ou par une simple opération, pour qu'il soit imprimé sur un support papier (25) et envoyé à un destinataire (12). Du côté du serveur (21), les opérations sont automatisées. Le système peut également tracer le fichier d'image graphique (17a) à l'aide d'un numéro d'identification unique (17b) attribué lorsque le fichier d'image graphique (17a) est créé sur le terminal de l'expéditeur (14).
