A process for eliminating the interference of peroxide in an analysis of the concentration of iron (III) with which the presence of peroxide interferes. The process has the following steps: (I) providing an aqueous liquid analyte that contains both dissolved iron (III) and dissolved peroxide, the concentration of peroxide in the aqueous liquid analyte being sufficient to interfere with the determination of iron (III); (II) bringing the analyte into contact with an electrode; (III) causing electrical current to flow; and (IV) continuing the current flow until the concentration of peroxide in the analyte has been reduced to a sufficiently low value that it no longer interferes with determining the concentration of iron (III) in the analyte, thereby forming a peroxide-depleted analyte.

On décrit un procédé qui permet d'éliminer les interférences liées au peroxyde dans une analyse de la concentration en fer (III) avec lequel interfère le peroxyde présent. Le procédé se déroule de la manière suivante: (I) on utilise un analyte liquide aqueux qui contient à la fois du fer (III) dissous et du peroxyde dissous, la concentration en peroxyde dans l'analyte liquide aqueux étant suffisante pour interférer avec la détermination du fer (III); (II) on met en contact l'analyte avec une électrode; (III) on fait s'écouler un courant électrique; et (IV) on laisse s'écouler le courant jusqu'à ce que la concentration en peroxyde dans l'analyte soit réduite à une valeur suffisamment faible pour que le peroxyde n'interfère plus avec la détermination de la concentration en fer (III) dans l'analyte, ceci formant ainsi un analyte à teneur réduite en peroxyde.
