The invention relates to a measuring and damping resistor arrangement for a high-voltage apparatus. The measuring resistor arrangement preferably consists of several series-connected resistors which are arranged on a support and which are capacitively bridged and is electrostatically shielded by the damping resistor arrangement which is preferably formed by a resistance wire which is wound onto an insulating body which encloses the part of the measuring resistor arrangement at the high-voltage side.
