An irradiated four layer meat-adherable heat shrinkable film comprising an ionomer first layer, a second layer of EVOH-amide polymer blend, a third layer of anhydride adhesive-EVOH blend, and a fourth layer of anhydride adhesive-EVOH blend. The film is used in the form of a hermetically sealed bag for cook-in packaging meat products. Advantages over prior art cook-in films include fewer layers, ease of biorientation and lower irradiation dosage.
