A multi-position window includes a stationary window frame, a sash window frame positioned within the stationary window frame and selectively pivotable out of the stationary window frame about a vertical axis and a horizontal axis, and a drive train positioned between the sash window frame and the stationary window frame. The drive train is preferably moveable between at least a first position which enables the sash window frame to be pivoted about the vertical axis and a second position which enables that sash window frame to be pivoted about the horizontal axis. The drive train is preferably moved by a mechanical actuator which is concealed in the sash window frame to create a pleasing aesthetic appearance and is operatively connected to the drive train to move the drive train from the first position to the second position.
Une fenêtre multi-positions comporte un cadre de fenêtre fixe, un cadre de fenêtre à guillotine positionné à l'intérieur du cadre de fenêtre fixe et pivotant de façon sélective à l'extérieur du cadre de fenêtre fixe autour d'un axe vertical et d'un axe horizontal, et un dispositif d'entraînement à engrenage positionné entre le cadre de fenêtre à guillotine et le cadre de fenêtre fixe. Le dispositif d'entraînement à engrenage est préférablement mobile entre au moins une première position qui permet de faire pivoter le cadre de fenêtre à guillotine autour de l'axe vertical et une seconde position qui permet de faire pivoter le cadre de fenêtre à guillotine autour de l'axe horizontal. Le dispositif d'entraînement à engrenage est préférablement déplacé au moyen d'un actionneur mécanique dissimulé dans le cadre de fenêtre à guillotine pour donner un aspect esthétique agréable et qui est raccordé au dispositif d'entraînement à engrenage pour déplacer celui-ci de la première position à la seconde position.
