ABSTRACT A mechanical control head comprises a guided tool for the removal of material from a work piece by electro- erosion. The head comprises a central rod with forked end,and a hollow guiding prisma coaxially disposed with the cen- tral rod. The tool is supported by a foot in the form of a spatule with a tapered edge, the forked end of the central rod being mechanically connected to the foot for the movements of the tool. The rod presents an annular shoulder at a distance, freely chosen, from the spatule shaped foot, supporting the hollow prisma. The rod and the prisma are independently free for axially revolving, and the spatule is pivoted in the forked end, for moving upon the superior surface of the guiding prisma. Both the precision and speed of the tool is improved by the provision of this mechanical control head.
