A method and apparatus (1) for mechanically gasifying an atomized fuel/air mixture by passing the mixture through intermeshing sets of pins (4, 5) rotating at high speeds. When used in an internal combustion engine, the fuel efficiency is enhanced and undesirable emissions are reduced.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil (1) permettant de gazéifier mécaniquement un mélange de combustible et d'air atomisé par le passage dudit mélange dans des ensembles engrenants de broches (4, 5) tournant à des vitesses élevées. Quand un tel appareil est utilisé dans un moteur à combustion interne, le rendement du combustible est amélioré et la quantité d'émissions indésirables est réduite.
