A B S T R A C T The invention relates to a method for producing mechanical joints of concrete-reinforcing rounds, to a reinforcing round allowing the application of the said method as well as to a mechanical joint for rein- forcing rods thus produced. It has its applications especially in the construction of concrete elements, buildings or structures. According to the invention, the method for pro- ducing the mechanical joints for the reinforcing rounds which allow the joining of reinforcing rounds, the extremities of which are threaded by by means of screwed connecting sleeves, is characterised in that prior to the threading, the extremity or extremities of the rounds to be joined are subjected to cold up- setting.
