There is provided an electrical generation system for producing an alternating electric current with a regulated fre-quency from motive power with variable speed. The rotor of an alternator is mechanically coupled to the motive power and thus rotates with a variable speed. In order to compensate for the rotor speed variation, the alternator stator is rotated about the rotor such that the relative speed between the stator and the rotor is regulated. The stator speed is controlled such that the frequency of the produced alternating current is regulated.

L'invention porte sur un système de génération électrique pour produire un courant électrique alternatif avec une fréquence régulée à partir d'une force motrice avec une vitesse variable. Le rotor d'un alternateur est mécaniquement couplé à la force motrice et tourne par conséquent avec une vitesse variable. Pour compenser la variation de vitesse du rotor, le stator d'alternateur tourne autour du rotor de telle sorte que la vitesse relative entre le stator et le rotor est régulée. La vitesse du stator est commandée, de telle sorte que la fréquence du courant alternatif produit est régulée.
