The invention relates to a mechanical security system for aircraft, designed to prevent a cowling (5) from closing until a structural element (8) has been returned to its position. To accomplish this, the system comprises a locking pin (1) linked via a cable (2) to a control lever (4), means for holding in the unlocked position cooperating with the lever (4), consisting of a spring (60) and an arm (50), the whole being inoperable until the structural element (8) has been returned to its position.

Le système comporte pour cela, outre un pion de blocage (1) relié par un câble (2) à un levier de manoeuvre (4), des moyens de maintien en position déverrouillée coopérant avec le levier (4), constitués d'un ressort (60) et d'une biellette (50), l'ensemble ne pouvant être actionné que par la remise en place de l'élément structural (8).
