Abstract of the Disclosure A disk stack assembly (21) in which a compliant interface (25) is provided between the disk stack (21) and the rotary mount (13) therefor, to accommodate limited radial displacement without slippage between mating parts of the interface, for the purpose of accommodating dimensional changes resulting from temperature differences and or differing thermal coefficients of expansion among the parts of the disk stack assembly (21), during periods of thermal cycling in the thermal environment of the disk drive.
