A B S T R A C T A wire-feeding mechanism comprises a rotatably mounted pulley formed on its edge with a continuous circumferential groove and plural rollers arranged to hold an endless flexible belt against a segment of the edge of the pulley. One of the rollers drives the belt which in turn drives another of the rollers. A third roller is mounted to maintain the belt in continuous tension. The rollers are toothed to interengage with lugs on the rollers to allow precise control of the movement of the belt without slippage.
