The invention relates to a mechanism (10) for opening and closing an appliance, said mechanism comprising at least one first (15) and a second (16) base part which are arranged so as to move relative to one another around a common axis of rotation (D, d) and can be put into a first and a second end position, where the path of motion of the base parts, which is situated between the two positions, is covered automatically by means of a spring tension which is exerted by a spring element (17) and which is initially set up manually, one end of the spring element being fixed on a first base part and the other end being fixed on a second base part. It is an object of the invention to provide a relatively simple and relatively small-construction mechanism for opening and closing an appliance. The object is achieved by a mechanism based on Claim 1, which is characterized in that the spring element freely spans the space between the fixing points and thus dispenses with any intermediary components, such as guides for the spring element or control units.

L'invention concerne un mécanisme (10) pour ouvrir ou fermer un appareil, lequel comprend au moins une première (15) et une deuxième (16) parties de base qui sont disposées de manière à pouvoir bouger l'une par rapport à l'autre autour d'un axe (D, d) de rotation commun et peuvent être amenées dans une première et une deuxième positions finales. Selon l'invention, la course de déplacement des parties de base qui se trouve entre les deux positions est couverte automatiquement au moyen d'une contrainte de ressort initialement établie manuellement et exercée par un élément à ressort (17). Toujours selon l'invention, l'élément à ressort est fixé à une extrémité à la première partie de base et à l'autre extrémité à la deuxième partie de base. L'objet de l'invention est de réaliser un mécanisme de construction simplifié et plus petit pour ouvrir et fermer un appareil. Cet objet est réalisé par un mécanisme selon la revendication 1 qui se caractérise en ce que l'élément à ressort franchit librement l'espace entre les points de fixation et renonce ainsi à tout composant médiateur comme, par exemple, des guides pour l'élément à ressort ou des organes de commande.
