A mechanism for returning a lever handle of a door lock includes a torsion spring having two end legs and provided around a driving shaft which is connected to a lever handle and which extends through an outer sleeve. A spring engaging member projects from the driving shaft to act on and turn one of the legs. A stopping member projects from an inner periphery of the outer sleeve to act on the other leg of the torsion spring, whereby a returning force can be generated when the driving is rotated via the lever handle.
