MECHANISM FOR SEQUENTIALLY CUTTING CONTINUOUS MATERIAL INTO INDIVIDUAL PIECES Abstract Of The Disclosure Mechanisms for automatically sequentially cutting continuous material into individual pieces including mecha- nisms for transversely cutting the material into individual pieces, mechanisms for feeding the continuous material from a supply past the cutting devices, and devices operatively connected with and automatically controlling the operation of the cutting devices and the feeding devices for sequen- tially cutting the material into individual pieces of desired lengths. These control devices include preset adjustable mechanisms for determining the amount of material fed by the feeding devices past the cutting devi- ces and for actuating the control devices for sequentially stopping the feeding devices to stop the feed of material after a desired length of material has been fed past the cutting devices, actuating the cutting devices to affect a cutting cycle thereof, and again starting the feeding devices for feeding of material.
