A media timeline processing infrastructure is described. In an implementation, one or more computer readable media include computer executable instructs that, when executed, provide an infrastructure having an application programming interface that is configured to accept a plurality of segments from an application for sequential rendering. Each of the segments reference at least one media item for rendering by the infrastructure and each segment is taken from a media timeline by an application.

L'invention concerne une infrastructure de traitement de ligne temporelle multimédia. Dans un mode de réalisation, un ou plusieurs multimédia lisibles par un ordinateur comprennent des instructions exécutables par ordinateur qui, lorsqu'elles sont exécutées, produisent une infrastructure comprenant une interface de programmation d'application qui est conçue pour accepter une pluralité de segments de la part d'une application afin de procéder à un rendu séquentiel. Chaque segment référence au moins un article multimédia afin qu'il soit rendu par l'infrastructure et chaque segment est pris dans une ligne temporelle multimédia par une application.
