A knee brace having a force strap (20, 134) to extend, when worn by a patient, from a first anchor position (21, 136) on the brace, above the patient's knee, behind the knee to a second anchor position on the brace, below the patient's knee. The brace has a stabilizer (28, 158) for the strap (20, 134) to maintain the force strap (20, 134) in position over the patient's femoral condyle.
