PF-1721 PATENT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Medical adhesive products, particularly dressings, consisting essentially of a thin moisture vapor-permeable film having adhesive on one surface thereof for adherence to the skin, the adhesive being in the form of a discontinuous coating of thick intersecting deposits defining islands or isolated areas effectively adhesive free, the thickness of the adhesive deposits being such that fluid within the individual islands is precluded from lateral diffusion which will undermine the adhesiveness. pat04118
