The disclosure relates to the field of medical equipment and relates particularly to clothing for hospital patients who may undergo physical examination or surgical procedures. The present invention seeks to provide medical clothing which allows easy access to the patient's body for the purpose of examination, treatment or surgery but which also provides coverage akin to normal clothing so that the patient does not feel inhibited or exposed. According to one aspect of the present invention there is provided medical clothing for a patient, comprising a gown formed with two arm apertures and an open front portion, which is arranged to close around the patient's torso by overlapping of respective sides thereof, and means of fastening the respective sides in an overlapped posititon. Preferably, each arm aperture is provided with releasable fastening means for reducing or enlarging the extent of the arm aperture. Beneficially, the arm aperture fastening means may be located in an under-arm portion of the arm aperture. According to another aspect of the invention there is provided medical clothing for the lower body of a patient, which clothing is configured as a pair of trousers having a waist portion and two leg portions, which trousers are provided with a releasably fastenable access cut which extends from the waist portion to an end cuff of one leg portion, thereby permitting access to the covered portion of the patient's groin and corresponding leg by unfastening of the cut.
L'invention se rapporte au domaine de l'équipement médical et concerne, en particulier, un vêtement pour des patients d'hôpitaux qui seraient soumis à un examen physique ou à des procédures chirurgicales. L'objectif de cette invention est de fournir un vêtement médical facilitant l'accès au corps d'un patient dans le but d'un examen, d'un traitement ou d'un acte chirurgical, tout en fournissant une protection analogue à celle d'un vêtement normal, de sorte que le patient ne se sente pas inhibé ou exposé. Selon un aspect de la présente invention, ce vêtement médical pour patient est une blouse formée de deux ouvertures pour les bras et d'une partie avant ouverte, conçue pour se fermer autour du torse du patient en enveloppant les côtés respectifs dudit vêtement, ainsi que des moyens permettant de serrer ces côtés respectifs en position chevauchée. Chaque ouverture est, de préférence, pourvue de moyens de fixation libérables permettant de réduire ou d'élargir cette ouverture. Les moyens de fixation de ces ouvertures pour les bras peuvent être avantageusement placés dans une partie de l'ouverture située en dessous des bras. Selon un autre aspect de cette invention, il s'agit d'un vêtement médical destiné à la partie inférieure d'un patient. Ce vêtement se présente sous la forme d'un pantalon, comprenant une partie enserrant la taille et deux parties pour les jambes. Ce pantalon présente une découpe à fixation libérable, qui s'étend de la partie enserrant la taille à un revers d'extrémité d'une partie jambe, de façon à permettre l'accès à la partie recouverte de l'aine et de la jambe correspondante du patient, en libérant la fixation.
