The present invention relates to a method of forming an implantable medical device comprising: culturing polymer-producing bacteria preferably Acetobacter xylinum in the presence of a degradable support; and removing the degradable support to recover an implant having pores of a configuration determined at least in part by the configuration of the degradable support. The invention also relates to a medical device obtained by such a method.

La présente invention porte sur un procédé permettant de former un dispositif médical implantable, comprenant : la culture de bactéries productrices de polymères, de préférence Acetobacter xylinum, en présence d'un support dégradable; et l'élimination du support dégradable pour recouvrir un implant présentant des pores, d'une configuration déterminée au moins en partie par la configuration dudit support dégradable. L'invention concerne également un dispositif médical obtenu à l'aide d'un tel procédé.
