Disclosed is a medical implant which comprises a proximal and a distal end, is preformed so as to embody a superior structure at the place of implantation, and can be modified into a volume-reduced form in order to be inserted through a microcatheter (22) and a guiding wire (21) that is disposed at the proximal end. The implant (1) takes on the shape of a tube that is open in the longitudinal direction in the superior structure thereof and is provided with a mesh-type structure (3) of webs or filaments (2) that are interconnected. The proximal end of the implant (1) has a tapering structure (B) in which the webs or filaments (2) converge towards a connecting point (5). Preferably, the implant (1) represents a neurostent. The invention also relates to a system which is used for treating aneurysms or other vascular malformations and comprises such a medical implant that is detachably fixed to a guiding wire.
L'invention concerne un implant médical qui présente une extrémité proximale et une extrémité distale et qui est préformé de manière à prendre une structure privilégiée sur son lieu d'implantation, mais peut prendre une forme à volume réduit pour son introduction par un microcathéter (22) et un fil de guidage (21) placé à l'extrémité proximale. Dans sa structure privilégiée, l'implant (1) prend la forme d'un tuyau ouvert longitudinalement et présente une structure maillée (3) de nervures ou de filaments (2) reliés ensemble. A son extrémité proximale, l'implant (1) présente une structure s'effilant (B) dans laquelle les nervures ou les filaments (2) convergent en un point de liaison (5). L'implant (1) selon l'invention est, de préférence, un neurostent. L'invention concerne également un système utilisé lors du traitement d'anévrismes et d'autres malformations vasculaires et comprenant un tel implant médical fixé de manière détachable à un fil de guidage.
