A novel system for conducting a medical examination having an examination data processing device controllable by voice commands for hands-free digital recording of video and/or still image signals captured during the examination. The recorded data are compressed on the fly, while the video and/or still image signal is being received. The examination data processing device supports hands-free generation of a text document including captured images of examined areas to represent examination results.
