Medical patient simulator comprising a torso (2) that contains an artificial lung (6), a chest skin (3) and means (8, 9) for pulling the chest skin (3) downward in an area corresponding with an area where such retractions occur on a human being. The simulator also provides for changes in the compliance of the lung (6). The lung (6) is situated between two plates (5, 7), the spacing of which can be adjusted. The torso (2) has one actuator (23, 24) on each side of the back to simulate muscular activity. It includes a system for control of pneumatic functions by measuring a representative pressure for each actuator and stopping the filling when a pre-set pressure is reached. It also includes a head with one or more air cushions in a fontanelle area on the head, which may be filled with air to simulate an increased pressure in the brain.
L'invention concerne un simulateur de patient médical qui comprend un torse (2) contenant un poumon artificiel (6), de la peau (3) recouvrant la poitrine, et des moyens (8, 9) permettant de tirer la peau (3) recouvrant la poitrine vers le bas dans une région correspondant à une région dans laquelle se produisent de telles rétractions sur un être humain. Ce simulateur permet d'apporter des changements d'élasticité du poumon (6). Le poumon (6) est situé entre deux plaques (5, 7) dont l'espacement peut être ajusté. Le torse (2) comprend un actionneur (23, 24) situé sur chaque côté du dos afin de simuler l'activité musculaire. Ledit torse comprend également un système de commande de fonctions pneumatiques par mesure d'une pression représentative pour chaque actionneur et par arrêt du remplissage lorsqu'une pression préétablie est atteinte. Ledit torse comprend également un tête présentant un ou plusieurs coussins d'air dans la région de la fontanelle, qui peuvent être remplis d'air afin de simuler une pression accrue dans le cerveau.
