The invention relates to a probe system for electro-stimulation and bio-feedback training of muscles in the pelvic floor region, in particular for pelvic floor physiotherapy and diagnosis, said probe system comprises a probe having a probe body which is insertable into a vagina or a rectum, and a plurality of electrodes which are positioned at several locations along the length and around the circumference on the outer surface of said probe, said probe system further comprises a control unit, operationally coupled to said probe, adapted for receiving EMG signals from each of said electrodes and for processing each of said signals for mapping the response of the muscles in the pelvic floor region.

L'invention concerne un système de sonde visant à entraîner, par électro-stimulation et par rétroaction biologique, les muscles de la région du plancher pelvien, en particulier pour la physiothérapie et le diagnostic du plancher pelvien. Ledit système de sonde comporte une sonde dont le corps de sonde est apte à être introduit dans le vagin ou dans le rectum, et une pluralité d'électrodes positionnées à plusieurs emplacements le long et autour de la surface externe de la sonde. Ledit système de sonde comprend, en outre, une unité de commande, fonctionnellement couplée à ladite sonde, et apte à recevoir des signaux EMG provenant de chacune desdites électrodes et à traiter chacun desdits signaux pour cartographier la réponse des muscles de la région du plancher pelvien.
