A medical probe device for medical treatment of tissue of a prostate through a urethra defined by a urethral wall. The device includes a probe housing having proximal and distal extremities and a longitudinal axis. A handle is mounted on the proximal extremity of the probe housing for introducing the distal extremity of the probe housing into the urethra so that the distal extremity of the probe housing is in the vicinity of the prostate. The device has first and second guide tubes provided with lumens therein and having distal extremities. The first and second guide tubes extend distally of the probe housing and extend at an angle with respect to the longitudinal axis to form a space between the distal extremity of the probe housing and the distal extremities of the first and second guide tubes. A plate having a rounded distal portion is secured to the distal extremities of the first and second guide tubes. The plate has holes therein in communication with the lumens in the first and second guide tubes.

L'invention concerne un dispositif formant une sonde médicale pour le traitement de tissus de la prostate après introduction de l' appareil dans l'urètre telle que définie par une paroi urétrale. Le dispositif comprend une enveloppe de sonde ayant des extrémités coccynale et distale et un axe longitudinal. Un manche est fixé sur l'extrémité proximale de l'enveloppe, ce qui permet d'introduire l'extrémité distale de ladite enveloppe dans l'urètre de manière à placer l'extrémité en question au voisinage de la prostate. Le dispositif est doté d'un premier et d'un second tube de guidage dont l'intérieur est pourvu de canaux et qui ont une extrémité distale. Les deux tubes de guidage s'étendent en s'éloignant de l'enveloppe de la sonde, selon un angle qui, par rapport à l'axe longitudinal de ladite enveloppe, définit un espace entre l'extrémité distale de l'enveloppe et l'extrémité distale du premier et du second tube de guidage. Une plaque ayant une partie distale arrondie est fixée sur les extrémités distales des deux tubes de guidage en question. Des trous pratiqués dans la plaque communiquent avec les canaux à l'intérieur de ces tubes.
