The invention relates to a medical retrieval device (2) with a basket (10) that has at least one leg (11a, 11b, 11c, 11d) that is frangible (i.e., easily breakable) and/or able to dissociate from at least one other leg (11a, 11b, 11c, 11d) upon the application of a predetermined force to the basket (10). The invention allows an operator to release captured material (50) (e.g., a stone) from the basket (10) when the device (2) is still inserted in the body. In an embodiment, the basket legs (11a, 11b, 11c, 11d) associate by a magnetic interaction that can be overcome by applying a predetermined force to the basket (10). In yet another embodiment, the invention provides a basket (10) with at least two legs (11a, 11b, 11c, 11d) that are joined together by a joining member by means of at least one shear pin (46) that can break upon the application of a predetermined force.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'extraction médical doté d'un panier qui a au moins un pied frangible (c'est-à-dire aisément cassable) et/ou pouvant se séparer d'au moins un autre pied lors de l'application d'une force prédéterminée au panier. Selon l'invention, l'opérateur peut libérer le matériau capturé (par exemple un caillou) du panier lorsque le dispositif est encore inséré dans le corps. Dans un mode de réalisation, les pieds du panier sont associés par une interaction magnétique que l'on peut surmonter en appliquant au panier une force prédéterminée. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, au moins une partie d'au moins un pied de panier est fait, ou revêtu d'une substance adhésive ou qui assemble au moins deux pieds lorsque la substance est solide, mais qui fond, se dissout ou se relâche lors de l'application d'un changement électrique, thermique ou chimique. Dans un autre mode de réalisation encore, l'invention concerne un panier doté d'au moins deux pieds qui sont assemblés par un élément d'assemblage qui peut se briser, ou duquel au moins un pied peut se séparer lors de l'application d'une force prédéterminée. Dans un autre mode de réalisation encore, l'invention concerne un panier doté d'au moins deux pieds qui sont assemblés par un élément d'assemblage au moyen d'au moins une goupille de cisaillement pouvant se briser lors de l'application d'une force prédéterminée.
