ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A medical stapling device for suturing tissues with metal staples including a frame, an anvil mounted on the frame and means for moving a plurality of open staples along a track and sequential- ly into engagement with the anvil to clinch the staple. The moving means includes a driver operable between two positions, a plurality of spaced lugs adapted to engage the staples, and a means whereby movement of the driver to close a staple also causes the staples in the track to be moved toward the anvil.
