A medical ultrasonic apparatus for irradiating a position to be treated or examined with ultrasonic pulses, which comprises an ultrasonic irradiation means, a signal receiving means for receiving the reflected wave of the ultrasonic wave irradiated from the ultrasonic irradiation means, a signal recording means (a memory) for recording the received signal, and a comparison means (a comparative computer) for comparing the recorded signal with the received signal. Use of this apparatus makes it possible to confirm an appropriate position to be treated or examined at a high reproducibility.
