The present invention is related to the fields of molecular biology, virology, immunology and medicine. The invention provides a modified virus-like particle (VLP) comprising- a VLP and a particular peptide derived from a polypeptide from the TNF-superfamily linked thereto for use in the production of vaccines for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and bone-related diseases and to efficiently induce immune responses, in particular antibody responses. Furthermore, the compositions of the invention are particularly useful to efficiently induce self-specific immune responses within the indicated context.
La présente invention se rapporte aux domaines de la biologie moléculaire, de la virologie, de l'immunologie et de la médecine. Cette invention se rapporte à une particule de type virus (VLP) modifiée comportant une VLP et un peptide particulier dérivé d'un polypeptide provenant de la superfamille des facteurs TNF, ledit peptide étant lié à la particule VLP, aux fins de l'utilisation de la production de vaccins destinés au traitement des maladies auto-immunes et des maladies des os et de manière à induire efficacement des réponses immunitaires, notamment des réponses anticorps. En outre, les compositions de cette invention s'avèrent particulièrement utiles pour induire efficacement des réponses immunitaires auto-spécifiques au sein du contexte indiqué.
