The invention relates to the utilization of benzazepine-N-acetic acid derivatives which contain an oxogroup in ad-dition to the nitrogen atom in the a position and which are substituted in the third position by a 1-(carboxyalkyl)-cyclopentyl-carbonyl-amino radical and to their salts and biolabile esters for the prophylaxis and/or treatment of heart damages caused by cardiotoxic doses of medicaments or chemicals in large mammals and particularly human beings. The invention particularly relates to the pro-phylaxis and/or treatment of heart damages, especially myocardial damages, which may occur during cytostatic chemotherapy. The invention further relates to the utilization of the above-mentioned benzazepine-N-acetic acid derivatives for adjuvant treatment in therapies in which medicaments with oxidative-toxic side effects are used. The invention additionally relates to the production of medicaments suitable for said prophylaxis and/or treatment or adjuvant treatment.
L'invention concerne l'utilisation de dérivés d'acide benzazépine N-acétique, qui contiennent un groupe oxo relié à l'atome d'azote en position alpha et sont substitués par un reste 1-(carboxyalkyl)-cyclopentyl-carbonyl-amino en position 3, ainsi que de leurs sels et de leurs esters biologiquement instables pour la prophylaxie ou le traitement de lésions du coeur dues à des doses cardiotoxiques de médicaments ou de produits chimiques chez les grands mammifères et, en particulier, chez l'homme. L'invention concerne en particulier la prophylaxie ou le traitement de lésions du coeur, en particulier du myocarde, pouvant apparaître dans le cadre d'une chimiothérapie cytostatique. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation des dérivés d'acide benzazépine N-acétique nommés pour le traitement adjuvant dans le cadre de thérapies utilisant des médicaments à effets secondaires oxydativement toxiques. L'invention concerne enfin la fabrication de médicaments convenant à cette prophylaxie, ce traitement ou ce traitement adjuvant.
