A method of actively immunizing against AIDS and ARC, comprising administering to a subject a medicament comprising an immunologically effective amount of one or more antigens selected from the group consisting of LeY, AI and sialyl-Tn, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, diluent or excipient.
