A medication management system (MMS) includes a medication management unit (MMU) associated with a medical device. The MMU downloads medication delivery code based on a medication delivery order to the medical device only if information from a first input matches information from a second input. The medical device receives delivery information electronically only from the MMU. The medication order is performed only after delivery data validation. The MMU also determines drug-drug incompatibility. The MMU can modulate (start, stop, sequence and dynamically adjust) medication order performance.
La présente invention concerne un système de gestion de médication comportant une unité de gestion de médication associée à un dispositif médical. L'unité de gestion télécharge un code d'administration de médication sur la base d'un ordre d'administration de médication au dispositif médical uniquement si l'information provenant d'une première entrée est en concordance avec l'information provenant d'une seconde entrée. Le dispositif médical ne reçoit électroniquement l'information d'administration que de l'unité de gestion. L'ordre de médication n'est exécuté qu'après validation des données d'administration. L'unité de gestion détermine également les incompatibilités entre médicaments. L'unité de gestion peut moduler (démarrer, arrêter, séquencer, et régler dynamiquement) l'exécution de l'ordre de médication.
