ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A nonwoven web is prepared from a polymeric blend comprising at least one elastomer and at least one thermo- plastic resin. The nonwoven web comprises fibers produced by melt blowing the polymeric blend. Conventional techniques are used to accomplish the melt blowing but due to high viscosity of certain elastomers it is frequently necessary to degrade the polymer blend prior to melt blowing. The non- woven web exhibits improved extensibility, texture and hand.
