ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The manufacture of dyeable polyolefin fibres, filaments, film and tape for use in the manufacture of textiles and carpets, which includes melt-extruding a polymer composition comprising a major proportion of a molecularly-orientable fibre-forming or film-forming olefin polymer component blended with a minor proportion of an additive component comprising a styrene copolymer or interpolymer, the melt-extrusion being carried out under con- ditions in which the extrudate in the form of a fibre or film is stretched whilst in the heat-softened condition.
